My little family has so much to be thankful for, including all of you out there in bloggy world! As a thank you, my TpT store will be 20% off Sunday-Tuesday. Be sure to use the code on the picture below for additional savings Monday and Tuesday! {Thanks to Ashley Hughes for the cute button!}

Also, before you shop, head over to Thank God It's First where Susan is having a linky party for you to check out some other awesome stores...now is the time to stock up for Christmas and after! Happy Shopping!
Ellie Grace is finally here! She was born Wednesday, November 14 at 3:33 p.m. and was 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 20.5 inches long. We are in love and feel extremely blessed. I will probably be blogging randomly as we adjust to our new life as a family of three. Thank you all so much for your well wishes you have given us!

So...no baby yet, so I thought I would share a few pictures from my school BFF's blog to show you some of the cute things she's been doing for Thanksgiving and what I would be doing if I was at school. Click here to see Deeanna's blog and make sure you follow her... she has tons of great ideas!!
Discussing the Mayflower voyage and making Pilgrims

We make these Indians every year and they always turn out so cute! The kids have to think of what their Indian name would be (as homework) and we write their names on the back.

Parts of a turkey
Although I'm not there, my kiddos are still doing math lessons from this pack:
While I've been at home, I did get my Christmas center pack done (I'll be working on a Winter pack for those of you who can't do anything Christmas related). You can click on the picture below to check it out:

Working on this pack definitely put me in the mood for Christmas...I just need the weather to get below 80 degrees now! I'm working on finishing another sequence pack for Christmas/Winter, so if there are any books you would like included, let me know :).

If you haven't followed my facebook page, be sure to hop on over. I posted a little Thanksgiving number freebie a few days ago, so go grab it!
Hope you all have a great week!
Since I'm not in my classroom right now, I don't have a ton of classroom pictures to post, what better time to link up with Lyndsey to let you know a little bit about what I'm thankful for?

I am thankful for this guy...
In a year and a half of marriage, we have been through more than our fair share of trials (short story - car wreck, coma, therapy, miscarriage, and now a baby) and it has definitely not been easy, but God has blessed us with so much and I am more than thankful to have Chad as my husband.

Speaking of baby...
This little girl is being pretty stubborn and doesn't seem to realize that she was supposed to make her arrival last Wednesday! However, whenever she decides to come, I am so very thankful God has blessed us with a sweet baby who right now is healthy (and happy where she is!).

These little sweeties...
As busy and hectic as teaching can be at times, seeing these little cuties "get it" and be excited about learning is well worth all of the craziness. I am already missing them and it's making me crazy not being at school with them during the holidays!

My super family...
Now this is not my whole family, but I don't have all my pictures on this computer. However, these girls (as well as the rest of my family) are the best family anyone could ask for. They are always there to help with whatever I need (remember Granny painting in my classroom?) and I can't imagine life without them!

Last, I'm definitely thankful for all of you out there in blog world! I could have never imagined when I started this little blog how much I would be blessed by being able to create and share things with you, getting sweet comments, and making friendships all over the country! Thank you so much for reading this blog, buying from my TpT store, and for your encouraging words!

Hope you all have a great week! I hope to be back with some baby news soon!

Hey guys! Yesterday was my last official day at work and I am already driving myself crazy thinking of things I didn't do or things that might not get done! Luckily, my good friend Deeanna (she her blog here) is helping my mother in law, who is my sub, so I know my kiddos will be in good hands!

While I was sitting today, I took the plunge and created a facebook page for Mrs. Plant's Press. I would love for you to come over and "like" me. I plan on trying to create a lot in the next few days if I can and I *might* be posting some special freebies there. Click here to see my page.

In the meantime, head over to Deeanna's blog to see her new Thanksgiving math pack...that's what my kids will be doing the next 2 weeks. It is full of great whole group and small group activities.

Also, sweet Mrs. Cupcake is having a huge giveaway!! Click the picture below to go enter:

Happy Election Day friends!!
Hi guys!! Just a quick post today between battling allergies and getting last minute things together for baby girl and for my kiddos at school, who I will be leaving Monday. I am so paranoid about being out and am trying to leave as many directions as possible, even though I am leaving them in very capable hands with my mother in law. I am little (ok, maybe a lot) OCD about my classroom, and I'm really sad about missing the holidays with my sweet kids, so I'm trying to remember everything I need to leave.

Many of you asked if I was going to make any more sequencing packs similar to the pack that had Halloween stories. I actually sat down last night and managed to be super productive and got a sequencing pack for Thanksgiving done...click the picture below to grab it (and this one includes 4 stories!)
I'm hoping to finish a winter sequencing pack as well as my Christmas pack soon, so I'd love to hear anything you would like to see included. Enjoy your weekend!!
I cannot believe that it is already November! Thanksgiving will be here in 3 weeks...that's crazy!! My last days are quickly approaching, so we jumped right into Thanksgiving today.
We're getting in the spirit with our classroom tee-pee. I made this my first year teaching by letting my kids decorate 2 sheets with markers and having my grandfather cut 4 bamboo poles that he tied together at the top. The kids love to read in the tee-pee during play centers!

We talked about the first Thanksgiving and read a little story about it. Then, we read Thanks for Thanksgiving and listed things that we are thankful for:
Then, we made these turkeys that I've been making forever (as in since student teaching!) and wrote about what we're thankful for.

I finally finished my Thanksgiving pack and it is loaded with langauge arts and math centers to help you through the next 2 (or 2 1/2) weeks. Click on the picture to see more :).
Hope you've survived the day after Halloween :).
